Most Toxic Cities in the U.S.

Among the many cities in the U.S., Philadelphia tops the country in the most polluted state.  Four cities in California are also in the list due to high levels of air pollution.  People need to protect themselves to this hazardous air they breathe.  Children will be greatly affected by the polluted air that causes breathing problems and lung illnesses.  Salt Lake City is the highest contributor of toxic wastes coming from industrial sites.  Philadelphia, Fresno and New York City are the leaders in water pollution.  If people continue to pollute the area and the local government is not doing its duties, many lives will be greatly affected by these toxic wastes.

Excerpts:

“California metropolitan areas claimed four of the 10 spots on our Most Toxic list, primarily due to the chronic air quality problem known as smog.”

“The EPA says when the Air Quality Index for an area climbs above 100 (ratings range from zero to 500, with zero being the best) it can bring on respiratory problems for people with lung disease, children and older adults.”
