Manulife Financial Earnings Publicized
Manulife Financial Corporation Incorporated has just posted their last quarter earnings for the year 2010. The increase in the percentage of guarantee value increased from 35 % as of December 2009 to 55 % as of December 2010. Insurance sales growth went up 34 % year over year which is based on consistent currencies; the same as to insurance premiums and deposits. Wealth sales went up to 28 % year over year based on a continuous currency also. If the company continues to produce more insurance sales and deposits, it will remain on top of its other competitors for the years to come.
Excerpts:
“Manulife Financial Corporation reported its fourth-quarter 2010 adjusted operating earnings of 59 cents per share, lower than 47 cents reported in the prior-year quarter.”
“The year-over-year increase was driven by positive policyholder cash flows, positive investment returns and capital issuances. However, the stronger Canadian dollar, higher expenses, commissions and taxes and credit facility repayment were partial offsets.”
