$52.4B Spent In The Weekend Of Black Friday


As most of the leading retailers opened store hours earlier during the Black Friday weekend, consumers have spent an all-time high $52.4 billion.  This is 16% more from the previous year’s $45 billion, according to a research by the National Retail Federation publicized Sunday.  A best ever 226 million shoppers do the marketing in stores and online beginning Thursday through Sunday, which is more than 212 million the previous year.  Distinct customers consumed more too, the NRF declared.  The typical holiday consumer shelled out $398.62; that is more than $365.34 in 2010.  Earlier starts at major vendors like Wal-Mart, Toys R Us and Target's, were the reasons in increasing sales mainly among men and young adults, based on early tally.
